Razer Singapore, a gaming hardware and fintech firm has plans to hire approximately 1,000 people to fill up positions due to the opening of its new South-east Asia headquarters in Singapore. The HQ will be located at one-north technology business park.

Razer’s chief executive officer (CEO) Tan Min Liang posted the announcement on a LinkedIn post on Monday morning. However, it has not been explicitly stated what type of positions are available for application, and if the positions are contract or full-time positions.

On the company’s website, there are 68 open positions based in Singapore across different departments such as marketing, software development, peripherals development and Razer Gold, the group’s virtual credits business. Most of the positions were posted up in January. Mr Tan also did not mention the timeline for hiring. Razer also declined to comment.

Razer Singapore first announced plans to build a regional headquarters in December 2018. The S$100 million building is expected to have 19,300 square metres of office space, research and development labs, and design studios across seven storeys.
