Workday ambassador Naomi Osaka has defeated Jennifer Brady to win the 2021 Australian Open in Melbourne. The win was Osaka’s second consecutive Grand Slam title, and a 21st match win in a row.
Alongside Louis Vuitton and Tag Heuer, Workday added Naomi Osaka to their ambassador portfolio just prior to the Australian Open this year.
Osaka, who has recently been increasingly vocal on social justice issues after the August 2020 shooting of Jacob Blake, explains that the partnership is built on a foundation of shared values, while Workday has also committed to supporting her “Play Academy” initiative which helps young girls stay active in sports.
On their website earlier this year, Workday had announced “At Workday, we invest in partnerships that extend our brand beyond business and into the daily lives of our customers, and that includes partnering with athletes who reflect our core values. As part of this, we’re excited to announce our newest brand ambassador Naomi Osaka.”
Osaka joins Workday’s athlete portfolio which is dominated by golfers including Pil Mickelson, David Love III, Matt Kuchar, Brandt Snedeker, Matt Fitzpatrick, Lauren Kim, and Casey Danielson.
