Alan Koo has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Deputy General Director of Saigon Beer Alcohol Beverage Corporation (SABECO), a ThaiBev subsidiary in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Before joining SABECO in October 2021, Koo served as the Senior VP, Group Finance for Yeo Hiap Seng, also better known as Yeo’s. Prior to this, Koo worked for Delfi Limited as a CFO for two years, from 2018 to 2020.
SABECO is the leading brewer in Vietnam. It used to be under the control of Vietnam’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, but it is now a ThaiBev subsidiary. SABECO produced 1.2 billion liters of beer in 2011, accounting for 51.4 percent of the national market. Bia Saigon and 333 Beer are two of the company’s most well-known brands.
