The CGMA Leadership Academy provides the next generation of finance and accounting professionals with skills and competencies to power up their careers.
The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, representing the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), has chosen Singapore to host its second edition CGMA Leadership Academy from 10 to 13 October 2022.
Aimed at accounting and finance professionals from across Asia this four day leadership programme will provide them with strategic thinking, self-leadership, volunteerism and professional skills needed in a fast-evolving business world.
The CGMA Leadership Academy 2022 will bring together business, accounting and finance thought leaders and experts with up-and-coming accounting and finance talent to discuss two of major trends in today’s business landscape: environment, social, governance (ESG) matters and the digital transformation of the finance function. They will notably get practical insights on how to build a purpose-driven culture in their organisation, enhance their organisation’s resilience through uncertainty and disruption and explore how finance can contribute to long-term value creation.
Venkkat Ramanan, FCMA, CGMA, Regional Vice President – Asia Pacific, at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, representing AICPA & CIMA said, “Singapore is a business epicentre in the heart of Asia and natural place to bring future leaders together from across the region to attend the CGMA Leadership Academy 2022. The programme will help finance and accounting talents develop strong leadership skills, build their professional confidence, and connect with like-minded professionals from across the world.”
“The changes the world and the accounting and finance profession experienced in the past two and a half years has demonstrated the importance of not only staying on top of current trends, but of staying ahead of the curve to build successful careers and help organisations adapt and thrive no matter the circumstance. This is exactly what the CGMA Leadership Academy is about, and I look forward to seeing what this year’s attendees will achieve.”
