In a major development, state-run company Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced the appointment of Jai Prakash Srivastava as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately. With this appointment, Srivastava takes charge of the company’s financial operations, bringing his extensive experience and expertise to the table.
Previously serving as Director (Engineering, Research & Development) with additional responsibility as Director (Finance) at BHEL, Srivastava’s vast knowledge and diverse background make him an ideal candidate for this crucial role. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from IIT Roorkee and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration.
Srivastava boasts an impressive career spanning over 38 years, encompassing various critical functions within the organization. As the Executive Director, he successfully led BHEL’s Industry Sector business segment, and also served as Strategic Adviser to CMD, BHEL during a two-year stint in the Apex office.
His extensive expertise encompasses a wide range of areas, including Project Finance & Control, Human Resource Management, Strategic & Stakeholder Management and many more. Having played significant roles across almost all product lines of BHEL, Srivastava brings a comprehensive understanding of the company’s operations.
