Blue Dart Express, a leading logistics company, has made significant appointments in its finance leadership team. In an announcement today, the company revealed that VN Iyer, who has been serving as the acting interim CFO since January 2023, has been elevated to the position of Group CFO. Additionally, Sudha Pai has been appointed as the company’s CFO. Both appointments will be effective from September 1, 2023.
VN Iyer, a seasoned finance professional, brings over three decades of experience to his new role. He previously held the position of Senior Vice President, Finance & Accounts at Blue Dart Express. Having joined the company in the early stages of his career, Iyer has demonstrated exceptional financial acumen and contributed significantly to the organization’s success. In his expanded role as Group CFO, he will oversee the financial affairs of Blue Dart Express, Blue Dart Aviation Ltd. (BDAL), and Concorde Air Logistics Ltd. (CALL).
Prior to his interim CFO role, Iyer served as the CFO of Blue Dart Aviation for five years, where he gained valuable exposure in Aviation Finance. With a strong background as a qualified cost accountant, he possesses expertise in accounts, finance, taxation, treasury operations, financial analysis, and internal controls framework.
Sudha Pai, the newly appointed CFO, brings nearly two decades of experience to Blue Dart Express. She has an impressive track record and has held key positions in finance management. Previously, Pai was an integral part of the senior management team at DHL Global Forwarding, where she played a crucial role in financial decision-making. She also served as the Finance Director at Ezyhaul India and held the position of CFO & Compliance Officer of DHL Logistics (Freight Forwarding Division). Her extensive experience and deep understanding of finance make her an excellent addition to Blue Dart Express’ leadership team.
