Anaergia Inc. makes a strategic move with the appointment of seasoned renewable energy CFO, Andrew Spence, to fuel global expansion and capitalize on green opportunities.

Anaergia Inc., a global leader in waste-to-renewable energy technologies, announced today the appointment of Andrew Spence as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately. Spence, an experienced CFO in the renewable energy sector, will play a vital role in driving the company’s growth and global expansion efforts.

With a remarkable track record in the industry, Andrew Spence has served as CFO at Aria Energy LLC, now part of BP, and at Ameresco, where he played a pivotal role in fostering continuous growth and performance for these successful renewable energy companies. During his tenure at Ameresco, the company witnessed a significant surge in annual revenues, skyrocketing from under US$25 million to an impressive US$728 million in 2011. At Aria Energy, Spence’s financial expertise proved instrumental in enhancing controls and compliance, ultimately contributing to the successful sale of the company in 2021.

Andrew Spence’s qualifications make him an ideal fit for Anaergia’s strategic objectives. Holding a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of Puget Sound, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Washington State University, Spence brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role.
