Through cutting-edge technology and tailored solutions, Tencent Cloud enhances Allo Bank’s app, empowering millions of users to access innovative financial services seamlessly.

Tencent Cloud, the cloud business arm of global tech giant Tencent, has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with Allo Bank, Indonesia’s largest digital banking platform, aimed at advancing digital banking services across the nation.

In line with its commitment to meet Indonesia’s ever-growing business needs, Tencent Cloud has established two state-of-the-art Internet Data Centres (IDCs) in the country since 2021. Leveraging its extensive local market knowledge and years of experience, Tencent Cloud has developed tailored solutions to address the unique requirements of Allo Bank.

Ensuring reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness are top priorities for this collaboration. To fulfill Allo Bank’s mission of serving the underbanked population, particularly tech-savvy young adults, Tencent Cloud has played a pivotal role in enhancing the Allo app with cutting-edge and secure services. Notably, the integration of TDSQL, a robust and scalable database management system, has enabled Allo Bank to efficiently handle large volumes of data and process high-frequency transactions. Leveraging optimized thread pool scheduling algorithms, TDSQL delivers exceptional performance under heavy loads, crucial for accommodating Allo Bank’s substantial transaction volume.

Furthermore, TDSQL boasts remarkable availability and data reliability rates of up to 99.99% and 99.99999%, respectively, ensuring Allo Bank’s data is constantly accessible and secure. TDSQL’s compatibility with MySQL protocols allows seamless integration with Allo Bank’s existing systems and applications, while its horizontal scaling capability enables the bank to expand without experiencing any downtime. With access to TDSQL’s high-performance computing and storage resources, Allo Bank can now effortlessly process up to 100,000 daily transactions, effectively meeting the financial needs of Indonesians.

By leveraging Tencent Cloud’s public cloud capabilities, including cloud hosting and CDN (Content Delivery Network), Allo Bank can reduce app download distribution costs, streamline UAT & Dev Environment, and benefit from app reinforcement and environment security protection solutions that proactively detect potential risks.

Expressing his satisfaction with the collaboration, Jimmy Chen, Vice President of Tencent Cloud International and Managing Director of South East Asia, stated, “We are thrilled to enhance digital banking in Indonesia with cutting-edge technology like TDSQL. Leveraging our global experience and expertise, Tencent Cloud is confident in delivering tailored solutions and services that meet Allo Bank’s specific needs. We eagerly anticipate future collaborations, including partnerships for additional solutions and services such as eKYC.”

Indra Utoyo, President Director and CEO of Allo Bank, expressed gratitude for the invaluable partnership with Tencent Cloud, emphasizing the tremendous strides made in managing extensive data, facilitating high-frequency transactions, ensuring online security, and managing risk control. Allo Bank aims to provide a revolutionary banking experience for all digital banking users in Indonesia and foresees a fruitful future with Tencent Cloud, planning to harness more of their high-quality and highly reliable technology.

The reliability of Tencent Cloud’s technology has enabled Allo Bank to scale its operations seamlessly and efficiently, resulting in explosive business growth and the acquisition of six million users since its launch. Consequently, Allo Bank has emerged as the most downloaded digital banking application in Indonesia, solidifying the trust in Tencent Cloud’s high-quality and reliable technology, which continues to support global businesses in their endeavors.

This collaboration between Tencent Cloud and Allo Bank heralds a new era of digital banking in Indonesia, empowering individuals with convenient, secure, and innovative financial services.
