Julie recently received the Women in Finance Asia Individual Achievement Award, an industry-wide recognition for women leaders in the financial services industry across Asia.

As CFO of Instinet Asia Pacific and Head of Finance HK for Nomura Hong Kong, Julie leads finance and people strategy while managing regulatory risk, driving sustainable growth, and harnessing technology to transform finance operations.

With three decades of distinguished finance expertise, Julie has navigated the full spectrum of CFO challenges. As Board Director and Regional Management Committee member, she oversees corporate transformation across multiple Asian markets while maintaining the delicate equilibrium between risk mitigation and business expansion.

A regular speaker at Digital CFO Conferences, Julie shares candid perspectives on navigating uncertainty, finance challenges, digital innovation, and the AI revolution reshaping finance functions. Beyond her executive achievements, she actively champions diversity through the Women in Nomura Network and supports community initiatives, embodying stakeholder engagement and social responsibility.

A qualified Australian Chartered Accountant, Julie has also attained a Master-level certification in Women Directorship from the University of Hong Kong, reinforcing her commitment to governance excellence and strategic leadership. Prior to joining Nomura and Instinet, Julie spent time at two large accounting firms specializing in banking and financial services.
