Leading Online Talent Marketplace Embraces Workday Financials and HCM as Part of Comprehensive Business Transformation

Singapore, October 23, 2024 – Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY), a prominent provider of solutions for managing both personnel and finances, has announced that SEEK, an Australian leader in online talent marketplaces, has implemented Workday Financials and Human Capital Management (HCM) in a bid to streamline and unify its operations across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.

Established in 1997 in Melbourne, Australia, SEEK has expanded its services to encompass nine employment marketplaces, serving regions including Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Brazil, and Mexico. SEEK is devoted to assisting people in leading more fruitful and productive working lives while enabling organizations to prosper, and it has over 3,700 employees. To foster greater cohesion across its diverse geographies, SEEK embarked on a transformative project to consolidate its platforms and standardise its operations, promoting greater collaboration across the board.

As part of this transformation, SEEK opted to adopt the Workday platform for both finance and people management across all its markets. This unified approach offers enhanced oversight for management, enabling teams to collaborate more effectively and share knowledge across different locations in pursuit of SEEK’s objectives.

SEEK’s adoption of Workday has enabled the organisation to:

Establish a single source of truth: By leveraging Workday’s HCM and Financials, SEEK now enjoys a unified view of its personnel and financial data, enabling insightful, data-driven decision-making.
Manage multiple markets from one platform: With the entire organisation now operating on a single system, various regions, subsidiaries, and business units benefit from increased visibility and uniformity in their operations.
Prepare for future growth: Workday’s scalable, cloud-based platform provides SEEK with a robust foundation to support its future growth and expansion efforts.
Unlock intelligent automation and AI: Workday’s platforms, supported by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), optimise processes and free up valuable time for more strategic analysis and decision-making.

Lisa Tobin, Chief Information Officer (CIO) at SEEK, commented, “Both finance and HR are highly dependent on accurate, timely data for effective decision-making. The implementation of Workday has given us a future-proof foundation, enabling us to make data-driven decisions informed by real-time insights and a single, unified source of truth. This foundation offers us the stability we need to make well-informed choices both now and in the years to come.”

Pannie Sia, General Manager of ASEAN at Workday, added, “SEEK’s commitment to improving people’s working lives aligns closely with our mission at Workday. We’re proud to support SEEK, a people-centric organisation, in bolstering its global workforce and the vital work it does in helping other businesses—big and small—succeed.”
