Sunway Group, Malaysia’s premier conglomerate, has chosen Rimini ONE™ to enhance software support and capabilities, optimize IT expenditures, and reallocate resources towards strategic digital transformation initiatives.

In the early 2000s, Sunway selected JD Edwards as its core ERP system, implementing it across all 13 businesses within the conglomerate, which includes sectors such as construction, property, healthcare, leisure, hospitality, and REITs.

JD Edwards allowed Sunway to easily customize to meet their business needs, integrating best practices into the system and establishing a center of excellence capable of handling JD Edwards implementation customizations independently. Another challenge for Khoo and his team was obtaining support from Oracle during critical issues. Khoo recalled that Sunway was dealing with urgent problems, but they could only wait. Oracle typically do not support customizations, and they would start questioning whether the issue was within their scope or something we needed to handle ourselves.
