DigitalCFO Asia Wraps Up a High-Impact Thailand Symposium 2025 with a Bold Vision for the Future of Finance

Singapore, 29 September 2025 – The 4th DigitalCFO Asia Thailand Symposium 2025 brought together senior finance leaders, strategists, and transformation experts for a full-day dialogue on the future of finance at Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel. From 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the symposium delivered a robust, forward-looking agenda centred on AI innovation, ESG integration, human capital transformation, and the evolving role of the CFO as a strategic driver of change.

The day opened with a welcome address from Ryan Kwa, Group Publisher at DigitalCFO Asia, who set the tone for a day of peer learning and strategic foresight. In the Opening Keynote, Wayne Williams, Chief Financial Officer of Minor Hotel Group, delivered an inspiring session on “The Visionary CFO – Turning Vision into Value in a Digital Age.” He emphasised how finance leaders must leverage digital insights and real-time data to align strategy and execution, transforming the CFO’s role into that of a visionary leader.

Momentum continued with Technology Spotlight 1, where Nataporn Thintarvorn, Customer Success Account Manager at Coupa Software, illustrated how transitioning from legacy systems to AI-driven spend management unlocks operational efficiency, strategic growth, and enhanced business visibility.

Navigating The Global Shifts

The morning progressed with Panel Discussion 1, “Resilient Finance Amid Global Power Shifts: What Thailand CFOs Must Prepare For.” Moderated by Thanwarat Srichampa, Lecturer in International Business & Economics at Siam Technology College, the panel featured Amrit Shrestha, Chief Financial Officer at HaadThip Public Co Ltd; Hafiz Roslan, Chief Financial Officer at FLS Group; and Pijittra Trirattanathada, Chief Financial Officer at Aurora Design Public Co Ltd. Together, they explored strategies for resilience in an era of global disruption.

In Fireside Chat 1, Ashok Jhanwar, Head of Finance at Kenvue, and Andrew Freeman, Finance Director at Boots Retail Thailand, examined the dual imperatives of cost optimisation and risk mitigation. Moderated by Ratinan Wongwatcharanon, Head of Investor Relations & Corporate Communications at Thai Credit Bank Public Co. Ltd., the discussion underscored the critical role of finance in balancing growth with resilience.

This was followed by Technology Spotlight 2, presented by Teeranuch Patanakumjorn, Country Head of Thailand at PS Global Consulting, alongside Yutthapong Sengsampao, Chief Financial Officer at Thru-tubing Systems. Their session highlighted how AI integration and automation can build resilience and growth, steering clear of hype to deliver measurable impact.

Driving Business Transformation

The theme of transformation carried into Panel Discussion 2, “Strategic Visionaries: Driving Business Transformations in Thailand’s Dynamic Economy.” Moderated by Ved Vyas, Director of Cost Control at Oriental Rubber Products, the panel featured Raveeratana Satchavarodom, Chief Financial and Strategy Officer at G-Able Public Company Limited; Wuthivet Vetchabutsakorn, Senior Vice President and Group Head of Finance at ONYX Hospitality Group; and Piyaporn Klangjaturavet, Financial Controller at Nestlé. The discussion showcased how Thai CFOs are embracing digital tools and strategic foresight to navigate volatility and drive enterprise-wide transformation.

Future-Proofing Finance

After a high-energy networking lunch, the spotlight returned with an Afternoon Keynote by Mike San Diego, Chief Financial Officer at EON Group. His session, “Transforming Finance and Unlocking the Potential of AI in the Global Economy”, demonstrated how AI adoption can enhance resilience and competitiveness in the face of shifting global dynamics.

This was followed by two compelling Technology Spotlights. Tony Lai, General Manager at EVOX, presented “The AI-Powered CFO: Unlocking Real-time Value and Agility with EVOX EPM”, outlining how advanced AI solutions can accelerate end-to-end finance transformation. Halid Bin Ayob, Regional Sales Director (APAC South) at DocuWare Europe GmbH, then delivered “Simplifying Requisition: From Chaos to Clarity”, showing how intelligent automation streamlines procurement workflows to achieve speed, accuracy, and transparency.

Human Capital and Inclusive Leadership

People and leadership took centre stage in the afternoon with Panel Discussion 3, “Redefining Finance Leadership to Address Human Capital Concerns.” Moderated by Supanee Anuwongworavet, Founder of EmpowerHER Asia / Novituz and former CFO of Microsoft Thailand, the discussion featured Ratiporn Ratchareon, Group Chief Financial Officer at Osotspa Co. Ltd.; Kranthi Kumar, Vice President – JustPerform at insightsoftware; and Arindam Murherjee, Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Hi-Tech Apparel. Speakers unpacked pressing issues such as digital skills shortages, talent gaps, and the role of finance leaders in fostering inclusion and adaptability.

When Purpose Meets Performance

The day continued with Fireside Chat 2, “Purpose Meets Business: How ESG and People Strategies Drive Long-Term Value for CFOs & Organisations.” Vineeta Kukreti, Regional VP of People, APAC at AppsFlyer, and Paulina Poray, ESG Manager at Jadestone Energy, exchanged views on ESG as a driver of enterprise value, moderated by Aliza Napartivaumnuay, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Socialgiver. Their discussion illustrated the growing interconnection between sustainability, people, and performance.

The final session, Panel Discussion 4, “AI vs ROI: Striking a Balance Between Innovation and Value,” was moderated by Pattrarat Tangnisaitrong, Director of the AI Engineering and Entrepreneurship Programme at Bangkok University. Sanpetch Tangsawapark, Business Controller – Emerging Markets at Electrolux Group; Alex Konnaris, Group Chief Information Officer at RMA Group; and Yogesh Gopalkrishnan, Finance Director – Thailand & Malaysia at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) debated how CFOs can measure innovation while ensuring tangible business value.

The symposium concluded on a high note with closing remarks, a lively Lucky Draw, and networking cocktails.
