Singapore, 27 June 2025 – UiPath (NYSE: PATH), a global leader in agentic automation, has completed a milestone internal transformation of its enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, collaborating with Deloitte, a global leader in SAP business transformation. Dubbed “Customer Zero,” this initiative positions UiPath at the forefront of ERP modernisation by leveraging intelligent automation to streamline processes, reduce complexity, and future-proof core financial operations.
The project comes amid accelerating business growth and increasing global demands, prompting UiPath to address challenges across its ERP landscape—from siloed systems and manual billing processes to delayed revenue recognition and complex multi-GAAP reporting. The company recognised the need for a modern, agile platform to enable scalability and efficiency.
Automation-First Approach to S/4HANA Migration
The Customer Zero initiative deployed an automation-first strategy for the migration to SAP S/4HANA, integrating UiPath’s platform capabilities—including robotic process automation (RPA), intelligent document processing (IDP), UiPath Apps, and AI-driven orchestration. This holistic approach reduced manual workload, improved integration, and created a strategic automation framework across finance operations.
Industry-Leading Outcomes
UiPath’s ERP transformation delivered standout results:
- 200+ automations deployed across finance by the UiPath Center of Excellence (CoE)
- 85%+ of critical workflows now run through unattended automations, improving billing, reconciliation, and revenue processing
- 93% clean core achievement—surpassing the industry benchmark and reducing technical debt
- 60% automation of test cases, accelerating deployment and minimising user fatigue
- 10% faster project delivery driven by automated testing and streamlined integrations
“Agentic capabilities are essential to deliver automation-driven ERP outcomes,” said Jerry Hoberman, U.S. SAP Offering Leader, Deloitte. “Building on Deloitte and UiPath’s commitment to deliver Intelligent Automation solutions for our joint clients, together, we can help organizations unlock transformative business value as they move to SAP S/4HANA and RISE.”
“Our work with Deloitte demonstrates that automation isn’t just an enabler—it’s a catalyst for enterprise reinvention,” said Hitesh Ramani, Chief Accounting Officer and Deputy CFO of UiPath. “With SAP S/4HANA and our agentic automation platform working hand-in-hand, we’ve dramatically improved the efficiency, scalability, and resilience of our finance operations.”
Toward the Future of Agentic ERP
Looking ahead, UiPath is building toward a next-generation agentic ERP model. Using the UiPath Platform and UiPath Maestro, the company aims to enable AI agents to autonomously manage workflows, coordinate across SAP and non-SAP environments, and escalate decisions only when human input is required. This evolution shifts automation from a task-based tool to a decision-making co-pilot.
Expected benefits include:
- Autonomous handling of exceptions and decisions
- Coordination between AI, bots, and human employees
- A flexible, scalable architecture for continuous innovation
“Agentic ERP is not just a vision—it’s the logical next step in the evolution of enterprise systems,” said Mihai Faur, CIO of UiPath. “Our Customer Zero journey demonstrates how organizations can future-proof their operations by embedding intelligent, agentic automation into every fabric of their ERP landscape.”
A Model for Enterprise Transformation
UiPath’s Customer Zero project offers a practical roadmap for CFOs and CIOs looking to modernise ERP without disruption. The collaboration with Deloitte highlights how placing automation at the core of ERP strategy can deliver measurable performance, operational agility, and long-term business resilience.
