The momentum continued with the first Technology Spotlight, presented by Adrian Rusu, Regional Vice President, Alliances at BlackLine, and Harun Kannan Rajagopal, Partner and FAAS Leader at EY. Together, they explored how finance automation is driving innovation and streamlining operations across enterprises in Malaysia and beyond.
Resilient Finance Amid Global Power Shifts

The first Panel Discussion, moderated by Dixon Wong, Chief Financial Officer at Santan, delved into the session, “Resilient Finance Amid Global Power Shifts: What Finance Leaders in Malaysia Must Prepare For.” Panellists Mohd Haniff Jamil (Malaysia Rail Link), Chee Cheng Han (GEODIS), and Faisal Irfan (Volvo Cars) discussed how finance leaders can navigate trade realignments, shifting regulatory environments, and emerging geopolitical risks.
This was followed by an engaging Fireside Chat between Adrine Ong, Finance Director at Classic Fine Foods, and moderator Rachel Hong, Finance Director at Jollibee Malaysia, on “Strategic Imperatives for Efficient Growth: Redefining Cost Management and Risk Mitigation.”

Rounding off the morning sessions, Mohammed Farhan K, Country Lead, Malaysia & SEA at ClearTax, presented the second Technology Spotlight on “The Future of E-Invoicing: Malaysia Tax Compliance and Global Mandates.”

Before the lunch break, delegates gained key insights from Panel Discussion 2, moderated by Joyce Loh, Group Chief Financial Officer at Kliqxe Group. The panel featured Mohamad Farizul bin Yahaya (HRD Corp), Phoebe Toh (Knight Frank Malaysia), Sazlyna Sapiee (Velesto Energy Berhad), and Izzad Shamsudin (KPJ Healthcare Bhd). Simplifying Requisition: From Chaos to Clarity
The afternoon resumed with Technology Spotlight 3, where Halid Bin Ayob, Regional Sales Director (APAC South) at DocuWare Europe GmbH, discussed how intelligent automation is transforming procurement workflows to deliver transparency and efficiency.

This was followed by Panel Discussion 3, “Redefining Finance Leadership to Address Human Capital Concerns – Talent Shortage, New Tech Responsibilities, Lack of Digital Skills & Female Empowerment.” Moderated by Junaidy Ab-Mutalib, Managing Partner at JM & Co and Member of the ICAEW Ethics Standards Committee, the panel featured Jessimah Sulaiman (Pos Logistics Berhad), Moon Nguyet TM Vu (CARSOME), Izdihar Ibrahim (UEM Edgenta Berhad), and Nor Adni Ismail (Multimedia University). Together, they explored how finance leaders could embrace diversity, digital competencies, and inclusive leadership to futureproof their organisations.
AI vs ROI: Striking a Balance Between Innovation and Value
Diana Cheang, Senior Finance Leader, concluded the day with a thought-provoking Fireside Chat with Darryl Ma, Head of Intelligent Automation at CelcomDigi, exploring how organisations can align innovation with tangible business outcomes. The dialogue underscored the importance of evaluating AI use cases effectively and establishing governance frameworks that sustain long-term value creation.

The event concluded with closing remarks, a lucky draw, and networking over coffee — celebrating a successful day filled with transformative insights, meaningful exchanges, and forward-looking dialogue among Malaysia’s finance community.
